What is your one aim in life? What do you desire and pursue? We want to help you say, 'it is all God!' We want your one aim to be all God.
We are always aiming at something or pursuing some goal in everything we do. For the Christian there is one aim that we are to have in all that we do. 2 Corinthians 5:9 says, "so whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him." We aim to please one! We are to be people of one thing, with one goal and one priority.
Paul was able to say this about all that he did, and we need to as well. In Philippians 1:21 he says, "for to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." To live is Christ. That is what life is all about! And in Philippians 3:13-14 he says,"one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Can you say 'one thing I do'? We do many things in life, but really they are all for one thing! And what is our one aim? All God.
Romans 11:36 says this glorious all encompassing truth about God. "For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen." Everything in the universe can be found in this verse. This verse runs through the veins of "all things". I like to summarise my life into this verse and say that my life is 'from and for God'. Everything is from God. Everything is through God. And so everything must be to God. He must be all in our life.
Everything is about God, he is to be in all we do and all is to be done for him alone, because all is from and through him. Everything we know comes by God’s grace, and therefore everything must always be for God’s glory.
Through this site, we desire for you to see and live this reality! That your one aim is all God! Nothing could be more comprehensive and life changing than this. We want to help you delight in God as all in all so that you hunger and live for him as your all. We want you to treasure him above all and pursue him in all.
God is all in all (Colossians 3:11) and our lives are to be a reality to this truth. 1 Corinthians 15:28 says "When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all." May God be all in all in your life. Because as C.T. Studd says, "only one life will soon be, only what’s done for Christ will last."
Will you make God the one aim in all you do? We hope and pray that your one aim will be all God. And we pray that God will do a mighty work in us all so that all of our aims are always from and for God.
One Aim: All God
